When discussing the Dallas Cowboys's decision to hire Brian Schottenheimer as their new coach, Robert Griffin III didn't mince words. After several weeks of rumors and speculation about the team's new man in the hot seat, with reports linking Deion Sanders, Jason Witten, and others as potential candidates to replace Mike McCarthy, Schottenheimer got the job.

He was promoted after working as offensive coordinator under McCarthy for the past three years. The former Washington Commanders quarterback shared a couple of tweets Friday night to make fun of this decision.

"The Dallas Cowboys aren’t serious about winning," he initially said.

More than that, he said the NFC East franchise was laughing stock around the NFL.

"Everyone is laughing at the Dallas Cowboys," he tweeted in addition to a clip of streamer Duke Dennis laughing uncontrollably.

Following a 7-10 2024 NFL season, Dallas owner Jerry Jones parted ways with Mike McCarthy. As soon as the news came to light, everybody had something to say about who was the best candidate to lead the Cowboys to another Super Bowl win.

Deion Sanders, Jason Witten and even former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore were mentioned as strong candidates to return to AT&T Stadium to help the Lone Star. Jones ultimately did what he thought was best and promoted Schottenheimer, raising plenty of eyebrows.

Robert Griffin III was part of this group and quickly criticized the team's choice when other options were available. At the same time, he is commending a different team for securing a coaching candidate that the Cowboys missed out on.

Robert Griffin III excited over Raiders signing Cowboys' HC candidate Pete Carroll

While he's throwing shade at Dallas, Robert Griffin III has a different energy for the Las Vegas Raiders, who signed Pete Carroll as their next coach on a three-year deal. Carroll, who talked with Jerry Jones, is headed to Allegiant Stadium to kickstart the new era for the Raiders, co-owned by seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady.

Speaking of this move, RGIII said he loved it.

“Love the Pete Carroll hiring. Knows how to win in a tough division, having been in the NFC West. Knows how to build a team and win with a rookie (quarterback). Proven winner.”

The Antonio Pierce era with the Las Vegas Raiders wasn't the best, but they have found their guy in the former Seattle Seahawks head coach.
