Joe Burrow, who is a strong MVP candidate for this season, isn’t just a pro at precision on the field. Off it, he has similar precision when it comes to imaginative gifts. For this Christmas, the Bengals QB surprised his team's offensive line with custom Japanese samurai katana swords.
As Charlie Clifford, the Sports Anchor at NBC 5 Cincinnati, shared the news on X, NFL fans were not impressed.

"I’d like to gift Burrow a new head coach for Christmas," a fan said.
Here are some more reactions from fans.
"They still can’t protect him even with the swords," one fan said.
“They should be getting a pack of M&Ms [Mars and Murrie],” another fan said.
“Not all of them deserve it, that’s for sure," one fan said.
Clearly, it was another jab at the Bengals' offensive struggles this season.
Talking about the symbolism of Burrow's gift, "katana swords" define the warrior spirit of the Samurais.
Currently, the Cincinnati Bengals' playoff hopes are slim with a 6-8 record and a third position in the AFC North standings. So, the Bengals fans can hope that the team offensive line will rise to the occasion and play just like a modern-day samurai in Week 16.
Joe Burrow has been facing an injury amid the Bengals' struggles
Ahead of their next game against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Joe Burrow is nursing a left knee injury. However, the injury has not been deemed severe enough to sideline him. At the same, it has raised questions about how much of an impact it could have on the Bengals' playoff push.
In the initial injury report of the week, the team categorized Burrow as "limited." As reported by Yahoo Sports, the NFL QB has acknowledged that the knee problem might linger for "a couple of weeks." Yet, he is confident to play.
That said, Burrow has shown no obvious signs of limitation during last week’s win against the Tennessee Titans. He completed 271 passing yards and three touchdowns. However, the performance wasn’t without flaws. There were two interceptions and a fumble. Notably, Burrow was cautious due to his condition and refrained from rushing attempts.
The Bengals’ quarterback depth remains thin behind Joe Burrow. Jake Browning is the immediate backup, with Logan Woodside recently added to the active roster for additional insurance. If Burrow’s mobility becomes a concern, the team may need to rely more heavily on its reserves.
