It's official. Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is back. The 30-year-old returned after his suspension for a failed PED test. However, not everyone is exactly thrilled with it.
The Cardinals are, though, having needed some more firepower to help Kyler Murray. Adding the superstar talent of Hopkins will only have good things in store for Arizona's offense.
But the way in which the receiver announced he was returning has not gone over well with fans. He posted a 52-second video on Twitter with the title, "Don't Call It A Comeback."
One fan disliked it and said that it's not a comeback, but a reinstatement.

"Dude, you were suspended. This ain't a comeback, it's a reinstatement and increased drug tests the rest of the year."
As expected, other NFL fans added their thoughts on the receiver's return, with many not exactly thrilled with his choice of words in his status.
By the looks of it, most fans have differing opinions on why Hopkins was suspended. Many are still unsure about his comeback video. But for the Cardinals, who are bottom of the NFC West, getting the 30-year-old back is superb news.
Will having DeAndre Hopkins back kickstart the Arizona Cardinals' season?
That's the hope, right? Getting a player as talented as the 30-year-old will only help. The Cardinals offense over the last four weeks has struggled. In that time, they have lost three and won once.
In those four games, they have scored 20 or more points once and in their last outing against Seattle, a total of nine points were scored.
Having Hopkins back will certainly be a relief. Prior to 2021, the receiver had over 1,000 yards receiving in six out of his seven seasons.
Marquise Brown leads the team in receiving yards with 485 with tight end Zach Ertz the next best with 299 receiving yards. Adding in Hopkins will help ease the load on the pair.
Having been out for six weeks, there is no doubt going to be some rust. It may take the 30-year-old a couple of games to get back into the swing of things.
There's just one problem. Given the predicament the Cardinals are in (2-4 record), they need their star man to be good straight away.
For many, the Cardinals get a breath of life from the receiver's return. Whether that turns into wins remains to be seen.
