Boston sports superfan and veteran analyst Bill Simmons was upset after the New England Patriots were dominated by the LA Chargers on Saturday. Justin Herbert and Co. put on a masterclass to clinch their 10th win of the season and a playoff berth in Jim Harbaugh's first season as their head coach.
After the game was over, Simmons took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts on this game, which was nothing positive for the Patriots, who dropped to 3-13 after this matchup.
"I’m glad an exclusive Saturday game is showing everyone how bad the Patriots coaching, strategy, defense, play-calling and execution has been for four months. This team plays like they don’t practice," an unhappy Simmons tweeted.

The Chargers took over this game from the beginning after Derius Davis opened the scoring with a 23-yard receiving touchdown. The Patriots scored their first touchdown following a field goal and went into halftime down 20-7.
Then they didn't get close to the end zone. Touchdowns by McConkey and JK Dobbins, respectively, as well as two Cameron Dicker field goals sealed the deal for the Chargers and gave them the 40-7 win and the ticket to the playoffs.
The Chargers dominated in every collective stat, including total yards (428 to 181) and yards per play (5.6 to 3.8). Rookie quarterback Drake Maye completed 12 of 22 pass attempts for 117 yards and a single touchdown while Justin Herbert connected on 26 of his 38 pass attempts for 281 yards and three scores.
Jerod Mayo could be on the hot seat amid Patriots poor season
Ahead of this game, reports about Jerod Mayo's job safety weren't positive for the rookie head coach. According to NFL insider Diana Russini, the Patriots' front office might not see him as the answer to their questions anymore.
“I can tell you that the Kraft family they were ready for the bumps and bruises here. They knew that a first-time head coach is going to go through it, they are learning on the job in a really tough market. But you have to wonder if this has been good enough and I can tell you the tone in that building went from ‘yeah we’re going to probably be safe’ whereas I can tell you people in that building do not feel that strongly about it anymore,” she said. After the Chargers game, the situation might be even worse for New England.
