New York Jets fans are frustrated after an insider revealed owner Woody Johnson vetoed a trade for Jerry Jeudy. According to The Athletic's Dianna Russini, Michael Silver and Zack Rosenblatt, as negotiations were nearing the goal line, Johnson called it off for an abrupt reason.

"Douglas told the Broncos that Johnson didn’t want to make the trade because the owner felt Jeudy’s player rating in “Madden NFL,” the popular video game, wasn’t high enough, according to multiple league sources. The Broncos ultimately traded the receiver to the Cleveland Browns. Last Sunday, Jeudy crossed the 1,000-yard receiving mark for the first time in his career," the article read.

It was a stunning reason to veto the trade, and Jets fans couldn't believe Johnson vetoed it for that reason.

"I checked your Twitter handle 7 or 8 times to make sure this wasn't a parody account, this is wild," a fan wrote.
"Makes sense why they overpaid for Mike Williams," a fan added.

Jeudy would have been a great fit on the Jets as fans are annoyed Johnson vetoed the deal.

"With this team, it honestly doesn’t surprise me a bit," a fan added.
"Woody's Dynasty mode team is undefeated 4 seasons running. I can see why he would want the same roster on the field for his real team. You don't cut it onto his Madden team, don't bother trying to get on the Jets. Just the way it is," a fan wrote.

Jeudy ended up being dealt to the Cleveland Browns and is having a solid season.

"He really needs to sell the team. He’s the reason for the garbage team we have since he bought them in 2000," a fan added.
"The clown show continues," a fan wrote.

Some fans, however, didn't believe the story. Jeudy has recorded 70 receptions for 1,052 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games this season.

However, the Jets season has not gone their way as New York is 4-10 and won't make the playoffs. The team also fired coach Robert Saleh and GM Joe Douglas as Johnson will search for their replacements this offseason.

“Today, I informed Joe Douglas he will no longer serve as General Manager of the New York Jets,” Johnson said in a statement, via NY Post.

"I want to thank Joe for his commitment to the Jets over the last six years and wish him and his family the best moving forward. Phil Savage will be the Interim General Manager for the remainder of the season. We will begin the process to identify a new General Manager immediately.”

The Jets will host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
