Former NFL and MLB player Tim Tebow made an appearance on Fox News' 'One Nation' this weekend to talk about his new devotional series, 'Mission Possible.' Tebow, who has always been very open about his faith, spoke out in support of actor Chris Pratt. The actor said earlier this year that he didn't consider himself a religious person but that he did have faith.
While making his appearance on One Nation, Tebow went on to say that he and Pratt are friends with some of the same people. He said that he supported the actor for stating how he felt, because no matter what you believe in, you should stand up for it. He said that even when one falls short, they are still worthy.
“We’re friends with some of the same people. I think that when you do stand for something, you will get criticized, but I ultimately believe that when you believe you’re standing for what’s right and what is true and sustaining to try to honor God, even though all of us fall short. I still think that it’s worthy, and it’s worth it.”

The backlash that Pratt faced was due to him denouncing that he was a part of the controversial Hillsong Church. When some criticized the actor for attending a controversial church, he stated that not only did he never attend Hillsong Church but that he wasn't even religious. This led to more criticism for not believing in a higher power. However, it appears that he has Tim Tebow's support no matter what.
How long did Tim Tebow play in the NFL?
Tim Tebow will likely be forever seen as one of the best college football quarterbacks to ever play the game. After winning two National Championships with the University of Florida, the Heisman Trophy winner pursued his NFL dreams. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the first round, with the 25th overall selection.
After two seasons with the Broncos, he was traded to the New York Jets in 2012 after Peyton Manning signed with Denver. After a lackluster season with the Jets, he was released and signed with the New England Patriots in 2013. He was released after training camp by the Patriots.
He then began his broadcasting career with the SEC Network, working as an analyst for SEC Nation every Saturday morning during the college football season. In April 2015, he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles but, once again he was released before the start of the season.
In 2016, Tebow tried to pursue another sports dream of his playing baseball. He signed a minor league deal with the New York Mets and in 2021 (after making his way all the way up to AAA in the minors) he announced he was retiring from baseball.
Just a few months later, he reunited with former Florida Gators head coach Urban Meyer and signed as a tight end with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was released just a few weeks into preseason play and has essentially retired from professional sports since then.
