Presidential candidate Kamala Harris' running mate Tim Walz showed no mercy to the Chicago Bears after their dramatic loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday.

The NFC North franchise is trying to get away from the image of a team that always finds a way to fail, but these mistakes aren't helping their case.

The Democratic Party's Vice Presidential candidate used this situation to explain what he and his team would do to secure the win for Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential election.

He found a unique way to motivate his supporters and show that they're taking the job seriously and won't rest until it's done.

"So look, we're leaving it all on the field. Unlike the Bears, I might add. They earned it, too. Because we believe in this country. We believe in what we can do," Walz said at a Wisconsin rally on Monday.

In case you don't know, the Chicago Bears lost to the Washington Commanders in Week 8 of the 2024 NFL season. While this statement could be normal under ordinary circumstances, the thing is that the Bears scored a supposed game-winning touchdown with 23 seconds left on the clock in the fourth quarter.

Jayden Daniels eluded a couple of defenders to find enough space to throw a cannon to find one of his teammates. He did it and Noah Brown scored the actual game-winning touchdown to put the definite finish on the 18-15 scoreboard.

One Bears defender was taunting Commanders fans right before this sequence happened and the game ball touched his hand before going to Brown. This was an unbelievable ending to a game and fans went crazy over Daniels' throw, but especially over this player not playing with everything until the game ended.

Bears defender apologizes after blunder against Commanders

Cornerback Tyrique Stevenson was recorded teasing fans before the game-winning play unfolded and many blamed him for how the game ended. On Sunday night, he took to X (formerly Twitter) to apologize to fans and teammates, vowing to never engage in this type of behavior again.

“To Chicago and teammates my apologies for lack of awareness and focus,” he wrote. “The game ain’t over until zeros hit the clock. Can’t take anything for granted. Notes taken, improvement will happen.”

Chicago dropped to 4-3 and Washington improved to 6-2 with this result. Jayden Daniels continues his stellar season while Caleb Williams keeps struggling to find consistency.
