“He's tired of his bullsh*t” - NFL fans react to Christian McCaffrey referring 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk 'former teammate' amidst trade rumors

Brandon Aiyuk and Christian McCaffrey have been on the same team for two seasons. However, it could be their last as Aiyuk has handed in his trade request. McCaffrey even slipped up in an interview on Tuesday, calling the wide receiver his “former teammate.” Now, the NFL fans share their take on the entire situation.

The San Francisco 49ers have tried to nail down Aiyuk to the roster for some time now. However, both parties are unable to agree. As such a trade looms for Aiyuk, with the Niners giving their permission to negotiate with other franchises. In this light, Christian McCaffrey’s slip-up from the interview has been picked up and taken as a possibility of trade confirmation.

This offseason has been full of rumors, news and updates regarding Brandon Aiyuk, his extension and his trade. Apart from fans, former 49ers CB Richard Sherman too wants this to end. However, on his eponymous podcast, the 2014 Super Bowl winner hinted that things are not primed to end well.

"It has been a magnificent career so far, but it just doesn’t seem like it’s going to have that happy ending. It’s going to have one of those endings that just leaves a bad taste in everybody’s mouth," Sherman said.

Only time will tell when the story around Aiyuk and the Niners ends. However, fans have given their take.
