Todd Monken's contract: How much salary will new Ravens OC earn in Baltimore?

CUSA Championship - Southern Miss v Western Kentucky
Coach Todd Monken of the Southern Miss Golden Eagles

Todd Monken has been appointed the new offensive line coach for the Baltimore Ravens. In the previous three years, Monken worked as the offensive line coach and quarterback trainer at Georgia.

He has eight years of coaching experience in the NFL and will now design an offensive system to get Lamar Jackson back to his MVP level. In Baltimore, Monken will also collaborate with a sizable group of receivers, which is now undergoing reconstruction.

As per Athens Banner-Herald, Monken was the highest-paid offensive line coach in NCAA football, earning a raise of $2 million per year in his most recent deal. That reflects a $750,000 increase from his 2021 contract and a $600,000 increase from his original contract's salary cap.

Between $3-5 million is the projected range for Todd Monken's net worth. He has amassed an enormous amount of money due to his core vocation as a football coach.

Todd Monken’s coaching experience

In his role as offensive line coach at the University of Georgia, Todd Monken oversaw one of the country's most potent and effective offenses, which enabled the Bulldogs to capture the national championship for two consecutive seasons. In those two seasons, his offense averaged close to 40 points per game.

It's no accident that J.T. Daniels and Stetson Bennett, Georgia's two starting quarterbacks over the previous three years under Monken, have the two best single-season quarterback ratings in programme history.

Despite not calling plays, Monken was the OC for the Cleveland Browns in 2019 before his time at the University of Georgia. From 2016 to 2018, he also worked as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offensive line coach.

Additionally, from 2013 to 2015, Monken held the positions of head coach at Southern Mississippi, offensive line coach and quarterback trainer at Oklahoma State from 2011 to 2012, wide receivers trainer for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2007 to 2010, passing game coach at LSU from 2005 to 2006, and wide receivers trainer at Oklahoma State (2002–04).

As the offensive line coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2018, Monken oversaw the third-most efficient unit overall and the NFL's top passing game with quarterbacks Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jameis Winston. Nick Chubb was second in the NFL in rushing yards in 2019 with Monken as the Cleveland Browns' offensive line coach, and Baker Mayfield set a career-best in passing yards.

The Baltimore Ravens will hope that Todd Monken can improve their passing game and revive an offensive unit that finished 28th in the league in the 2022-23 season. Monken's attack was effective with Georgia last season, scoring 40.7 points per game while averaging 501.1 yards.
