Jayden Daniels could very well be considered the savior of the Washington Commanders. The No. 2 pick in the 2024 NFL draft set multiple records as he helped the long-struggling franchise make the playoffs for the first time in the current Josh Harris era and reach the NFC Championship Game for the first time in the 21st century.

His stats may seem unimpressive when compared to elite quarterbacks like Jared Goff or Joe Burrow: a 60% completion rate for 3,568 yards and 25 touchdowns. However, if you ask Tom Brady, it’s Daniels’ intangibles — such as confidence and bravery— that have set him apart from his peers.

Speaking recently on his "Let’s Go!" podcast, the former seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback and current Fox analyst made a lofty comparison between the rookie quarterback’s surprising postseason run and the first major title of one of the greatest golfers of all time — Tiger Woods, who has a net worth of $1.3 billion, according to Forbes:

"Even though Jayden Daniels is just a rookie, he has that poise and confidence," Brady said. "Imagine, I guess, look at a young Tiger Woods."

"He never had proven on the big stage that he was ready for those big moments in the Masters in '97, but he had proved that to himself in all those junior amateurs that he won, that he didn't care who he was playing."

Tom Brady believes Jayden Daniels' Commanders played perfectly in divisional round win over Lions

The apex of Daniels’ postseason run so far has to be the divisional round. The Detroit Lions had been the NFC’s top seed at 15-2, coming off a bye week, and were stacked with playmakers on both sides of the ball.

They were heavily favored to reach their second consecutive NFC Championship Game and appear in the Super Bowl for the first time in franchise history.

None of that mattered to Daniels and the Commanders, who pulled off a stunning 45-31 upset at Ford Field. In the same podcast appearance, Brady shared his thoughts on the win:

"(They) went in there, they didn't care who they were playing. They played harder on every snap. Jayden Daniels put together his best performance of the season."
"There's very little margin of error. And Detroit - five turnovers, just couldn't do much to stop the run. They had to incorporate pressure packages, and Jayden Danield handled it so well."

Eagles DC Vic Fangio praises Jayden Daniels ahead of NFC Championship Game clash vs. Commanders

The next task for Jayden Daniels is to become the first rookie quarterback to reach the Super Bowl. But it won’t be easy, as the Philadelphia Eagles boast a dominant defense filled with playmakers like Jalen Carter, Josh Sweat, Zack Baun, Darius Slay, Cooper DeJean, Quinyon Mitchell and Reed Blankenship.

Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio is well aware of Daniels’ dynamic skill set, saying:

"The guy is playing extremely well. You can tell how much they think he's playing so good by the volume of their offense and the things they trust him to do. He's come through for them in a big way and he's tough to handle."

When asked how the Eagles plan to stop him, Fangio said:

"We just have to do a good job of rushing. Rushing four, or five and make sure we don't give him lanes (to run)."

Kickoff for the NFC Championship Game is at 3 p.m. ET on Fox.
