Another headline coming out of the league now that the offseason has started for many teams is about Antonio Pierce and the Las Vegas Raiders. He was fired after one season as head coach of the team.
As interim HC last year, he compiled a 5-4 record but went 4-13 this season.
“We appreciate Antonio’s leadership, first as an interim head coach and this past season as the head coach,” the Raiders said in their statement.

Raiders fans reacted to the news in droves. Some said it was Tom Brady, who had recently become a minority owner of the team, who was behind this.
"Great move! Tom Brady era taking over"
Another fan said that it didn't make sense to fire coaches after just one season.
"I don’t understand firing head coaches after 1 year"
Other fans also chimed in with their reactions to Antonio Pierce's firing.
"He was kinda set up for failure but he didn’t do a great job either," one fan said.
"Give him a chanceeee! See what he can do for two years or even 5🤷♂️" another fan said.
"Coach prime speeding over there right now," one fan said.
"The Raiders keep starting from scratch every 2-3 seasons and wonder why they don't win more games. They should've kept Coach Pierce," another fan said of Antonio Pierce.
The NFL coaching mill after Raiders fire Antonio Pierce
While many fans seemed to think that Deion Sanders would take up the mantle and his son Shedeur would join the franchise, it seems unlikely to happen. However, Minnesota Vikings DC Brain Flores could be a possible contender for the spot.
Mike Vrabel is probably the most sought-after coach in the league right now. However, as he himself revealed, he would like to go with the New England Patriots, the team where he played as a player.
With the coaching options wide and varied, can Brady help pick a head coach who would finally turn the Raiders around?
