Tom Brady has been known to throw tablets and yell at teammates, coaches, and referees. While speaking on the Let's Go! podcast, the quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lamented his impulse to yell at the referees. However, he also asked them to let him. Here's how he put it:

"It's so f*****g emotional... You get hit in the throat and you turn around and you... yell at the ref... They didn't get hit in the throat. You did. They can't understand sometimes, man. If you're a ref, just chill out..."

He continued, explaining that his outbursts are usually pre-emptively apologized for:

"I usually start by apologizing in pregame and I say, 'look, I'm an a*****e out there. You know me, I'm going to say a lot of s**t. Don't take it personally... then right after [I yell], I cool off and I go, 'Look, I told you... I'm an a*****e."

Given the way that athletes in other sports (especially soccer) behave towards referees, it is likely that the league will keep a hard line on this.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady's history of physically assaulting electronics

Tom Brady is not afraid to demonstrate his anger physically as well as verbally. As has been well publicized since tablets began being used in the league, the quarterback has thrown them in violent ways, often breaking them. If Brady is down, no tablet is safe on the sidelines, particularly if they are password protected.

However, Brady has a history of throwing things when it doesn't go his way, according to Insider. He's also thrown backgammon boards and video game controllers. His former teammate, Danny Amendola, has said he saw the quarterback smash a ping-pong paddle in anger.

Even as a kid, according to Insider and USA Today, Brady once threw a golf club in frustration as a kid. As a result, his father sent him to the car. While it is good to express your feelings, sometimes the consequences of anger can be much greater than the cause.

Even at age 45, the quarterback's anger is still plaguing him. Instead of finding ways to cope, it seems he has simply elected to warn people instead. Will Tom Brady find peace before he retires from the NFL?
