Tom Brady has an important mission for the upcoming months. The part-time owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, who joined the franchise in 2024, is involved in the search for the franchise's new head coach, with Antonio Pierce fired after a single year on the job.
Among a long list of possible candidates, two of them were present in a game called by Brady. Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn, both coordinators for the Detroit Lions, have reportedly interviewed for the head coach of the franchise, with Johnson being considered one of the early favorites to get the nod.
As Johnson and Glenn worked in a game that ended in a shocking 45-31 defeat for the Lions, the former quarterback and current play-by-play analyst for Fox spoke about the opportunity to get to know them in depth:
"It's just been a great learning experience. What you realize is the league's full of great potential— and what I believe is, the resumes, the accolades, they're all earned by what people do on the field. You earn your opportunities, and you do your performance, and let that all do the talking—just as it should be, and as I did when I was a player."

Which head coach candidates Tom Brady and the Las Vegas Raiders have interviewed?
Apart from the two Lions coordinators, the following names have interviewed for the job in Las Vegas:
- Steve Spagnuolo, defensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs
- Todd Monken, offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens
- Robert Saleh, former head coach of the New York Jets
- Vance Joseph, defensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos
- Pete Carroll, former head coach of the Seattle Seahawks
With the Lions' shocking exit, Johnson and Glenn will have more time to pick their futures. They are two of the hottest head coach prospects and will certainly find new jobs for themselves in 2025.
Brady and the Raiders are also on the lookout for a new general manager, as they fired Tom Telesco after the season. He stayed for just one year with the franchise, but the idea is to have a head coach and a general manager tied for the future.
