The benefit of having a quarterback legend like Tom Brady retired is the opportunity to hear his thoughts on the new crop of quarterbacks coming up in the NFL. In an interview published on Tuesday, the FOX Sports commentator shared that he thinks Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels will have to play flawlessly to win the upcoming NFC championship game.

"With Washington, they're kind of playing with house money. Nobody really expects much of them, but they have got a really close team. They're going to fight to the end. And then the young quarterback, if he goes and plays flawlessly, it's going to come down to one drive at the end of the game."

He also waxed lyrical about the Philadelphia Eagles’ defense.

"The Eagles got a really great defense. They have got a D-line that can make an impact, they can stop the run without having to shove extra bodies up there. We’ll see how the injuries in the Eagles secondary, if (safety Quinyon) Mitchell can play, how that affects them. Certainly, the Eagles are favorites for a reason. They have had an incredible season. If the Eagles play well, I think they’re moving on."

Tom Brady is expected to commentate on the Commanders-Eagles showdown

Tom Brady will have a vested interest in this matchup, as he is expected to be in the broadcast booth calling the game. This year, the NFC championship game will be broadcast by FOX as part of the annual rotation, and the seven-time Super Bowl champion, along with Kevin Burkhardt, is expected to be on duty for the game.

He also discussed the weather conditions expected for this game. When the game starts, it is expected to be 32°F with 8 mph winds.

"I used to be tougher as a player. Now, when I get up to the broadcast booth, I check with myself, how many layers do I got to wear? Because I’m not moving around. But I’m excited!"

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick reunited on "Let’s Go!" podcast

Brady made the comments while appearing on host Jim Gray’s "Let’s Go!" podcast. The podcast also featured regular guests in Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby, NBC football reporter Peter King and North Carolina football coach Bill Belichick.

During the interview, the former New England Patriots quarterback and Belichick were reunited, albeit digitally. During their dynastic run, the duo spent 20 years together as the quarterback and head coach of the Patriots.

A phone call was reportedly made to Belichick two weeks ago regarding the vacant Las Vegas Raiders head coach opening, a team that Brady is now a minority shareholder of. The Raiders are in the middle of interviewing candidates to fill both that role as well as the GM position.
