NFL legend Tom Brady has backed Joe Burrow after the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback's performance to keep his team's playoff aspirations intact. Brady highlighted Burrow's performance in Saturday's 30-24 win over the Denver Broncos.
The Bengals QB, who signed a $275 million extension in September, completed 39 of 49 passes for 412 yards and three touchdowns. This also included a game-winning three-yard strike to Tee Higgins in overtime.
"Joe Burrow. What an incredible year this has been for Joe Burrow," Brady said on Fox Sports on Tuesday. "He threw for over 400 yards, four touchdowns on Saturday night in primetime against the Broncos. Joe, man, you kept your team's playoff hopes alive with last week's win."

The victory proved pivotal for Cincinnati's playoff chances. According to NFL.com, the 8-8 Bengals have a 6% chance of making the postseason. They need a win against Pittsburgh on Saturday night, plus a Broncos loss and either a Dolphins loss or tie to clinch the final AFC wild-card spot.
Joe Burrow's take on MVP race
Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons said on X that Burrow deserves MVP consideration if Cincinnati makes the playoffs. But the Bengals quarterback maintains a grounded perspective about his chances.
"I think I will win the MVP award someday, but not this year," Burrow told reporters on Saturday. "I doubt it. Usually you gotta win your division, it is what it is. That's how it's voted. I don't necessarily disagree with it, I would say."
Beyond personal accolades, Burrow has focused on the team's future success. He advocated for the Bengals to extend contracts for key offensive weapons Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase.
"Whenever a great player leaves, you wish you could have found a way to keep them," Burrow said. "You don't want to make a living out of letting great players leave the building. I think that's why you've got to do everything you can to get those deals done early."
Burrow has thrown for 4,641 yards and 42 touchdowns this season. If Cincinnati secures a playoff berth, they will face the second-seeded Buffalo Bills on Super Wild Card Weekend.
