Even if Tom Brady takes on a bigger role with the Las Vegas Raiders, he will not pull out of his 10-year, $375 million commitment with Fox Sports as a live broadcaster. That is according to his long-time agent, Don Yee.

In an interview with Sport Business Journal earlier this week, Yee put the rumors of Brady taking on a full-time role with the Las Vegas Raiders to rest:

“Tom has had a tremendous amount of fun working with Fox this year, and he’s really excited about the future with Fox and his growth on their team. This year was the first year of a long relationship.”

When the interviewer asked definitively if Brady would fulfil the remaining years of his Fox contract, he replied affirmatively “Yes”.

Yee is Brady's longtime agent after signing him in 1999 before Brady was drafted in the sixth round by the New England Patriots. He represented Brady throughout his long and illustrious career, and also represents players like Jimmy Garoppolo, and Julian Edelman and coaches like Sean Payton and Mike McCarthy.

Tom Brady juggling multiple roles post-playing career

Since retiring from playing in 2022, Tom Brady has had to juggle many of his business interests. Two of them, his minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders and his 10-year analyst contract with Fox Sports, have frequently been in conflict.

Tom Brady became a minority shareholder of the Las Vegas Raiders in October 2024 after owners unanimously voted to accept Brady's deal with Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis, which was previously established in May 2023. As a limited partner of an NFL team, he had to deal with a strict set of rules that other broadcasters did not have to undergo.

He has not been allowed to enter another team’s facility, witness practice, or criticize game officials and other teams. These are typical pre-game activities a broadcaster goes through to provide objective and balanced analysis during the live broadcast, as well as being a key part of the role.

Brady's performance as a broadcaster has therefore been a contentious topic. By assuming the position, he moved popular color commentator Greg Olsen to the B team, with Brady taking on the week's most important games. Even his former teammates have weighed in, both to support and criticize his commentary skills.

With this year’s Super Bowl being broadcast by Fox Sports, Brady and play-by-play partner Kevin Burkhardt will be tasked with calling the penultimate game of the year.
