Bryce Young has already declared for the 2023 NFL draft and is expected to be the first player to be drafted this year. The former Alabama quarterback was the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner and played very well in three seasons with the Crimson Tide.

Young's game was praised by Aaron Rodgers' brother Jordan Rodgers during his Heisman season. Jordan Rooney observed some similarities between Young's game and that of the Packers quarterback.

After his performances were compared to Aaron Rodgers, Bryce Young said this on the "Bryce Young podcast" in 2021:

"That's my favorite quarterback to watch play has definitely who I try and model my game after the most so to hear something like that I get no that's a really, really accomplish especially coming from you know.
"I got the opportunity to meet his brother, who's really really cool to me, he talked to me a little bit in person about it and that was a really great opportunity. So I'm hearing stuff like that is you know, it's really great.
"He's the most gifted like physical passer ever, like he's the stuff like some of a lot of those he's been able to make. He makes those I don't think really anyone could ever make just his accuracy and his ability to get the ball out as quick as he wants from any, any scenario."

Bryce Young grew up idolizing Aaron Rodgers and this upcoming season he might play against his idol as well. The former Alabama quarterback does not possess the size of an ideal modern-day quarterback, but he has a unique skill set which is why he is expected to be drafted with the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft.

In three years at Alabama, Young threw for 8,356 yards with 80 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He completed 65.8% of his passes and averaged 8.8 passing yards per attempt.

Although the Chicago Bears have the first overall pick for the 2023 NFL draft, they are expected to trade that pick as they have Justin Fields.

This could result in other teams trying to trade up in the draft to get Young, and it is expected the Indianapolis Colts are going to make a push for him.

Jim Irsay, the owner of the Colts, has already indicated the same about drafting Young. The former Crimson Tide star will certainly be a great fit for the Colts team, who also have a new head coach in Shane Steichen.
