During Saturday's divisional round playoff win against the Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was alleged to have benefited from a few calls against the opposing defense.
Mahomes allegedly benefited from an arguable roughing of the passer and one other seemingly unnecessary roughness call in the game.
Speaking about the plays that the Chiefs benefited from a few questionable calls, former NFL center Jason Kelce spoke with his brother Travis on Ep. 121 of their podcast, "New Heights." Jason said:
"Can I comment on it, though, right? Of course. I think the second one was completely, just like, absolutley ridiculous, right? I mean he didn't even get touched. I don't know. They just missed it."

Travis responded by saying that Mahomes "definitely got touched" when he "flopped." Jason reacted and still said it was a bad call:
"I could see what they saw, but I don't think it was really that much forcible contact to his head. I think it looked like it was, but it didn't look like it was in slow motion. But I understand why they called it. Just thought it was a bad call."
Patrick Mahomes gets candid and admits he shouldn't have flopped on the sideline play against the Texans
While the Houston Texans were called for a few questionable calls, there was a play where Patrick Mahomes ran toward the sideline on a scramble, was touched, and flared his arms in the air as he was going down to make it seem like he was hit unnecessarily. The refs didn't flag the Texans for this play.
Speaking about the referees and officiating, Mahomes admitted he "probably did too much," on that play, despite not being flagged. Mahomes said:
"I would say that the only one I felt like I probably did too much was the one on the sideline where I didn’t get a flag, and the ref saw it and didn’t throw a flag. And I understood it immediately and know that I probably shouldn’t have done that."
This Sunday, the Chiefs and Mahomes will host the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium, looking to make it three years in a row in the Super Bowl.
