Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole makes feelings known on constant headlines around high-profile breakup

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce's ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, will feature in S3 of Special Forces: World's Toughest Test. Ahead of the quasi-military training television series' premiere on January 8, Kayla has spoken up about how the fallout from her breakup with the three-time Super Bowl champion coupled with the intensity of online criticism, prepared her for the mental and physical trials of the reality series.

“God, I think that put things in full perspective ... Social media, words on the internet and experiences like this put life into perspective,” she told Page Six exclusively on the red carpet in Los Angeles.

The backlash and scrutiny intensified for Kayla ever since Travis Kelce moved on and started dating Taylor Swift in late 2023.

It has been close to two years since Travis and Kayla broke up. Yet, Kayla sees Special Forces: World's Toughest Test as a chance to show her real self to the world and shed the labels.

“I would say I’m the opposite of being afraid of what people are going to see. I’m actually excited for people to see us stripped down, raw, vulnerable,” she added.

“I think people in general, the general public, need to be reminded that we’re all humans, right? We all have very real emotions. And I’m excited about that element [of] allowing us to be humans.”

In Special Forces: World's Toughest Test's Season 3 teaser, Kayla briefly addressed her relationship with Chiefs TE. Speaking to her fellow recruits, she said that it was “overwhelming" to deal with the breakup publicly.

Others, who will join Kayla on the reality TV show are Brody Jenner, Denise Richards, Cam Newton and Carey Hart.

Speaking candidly on WNBA star Angel Reese’s podcast, "Unapologetically Angel" in October 2024, Kayla Nicole said how Instagram/ Tiktok and other similar platforms have become battlegrounds for strangers debating her worth, talent and career since Travis Kelce began dating Taylor Swift.

But, a wise Kayla knows that trollers' comments don't decide her worth.

“It has nothing to do with me," she said. "I think that there’s something about that level of fame that attracts crazy people. It’s unfortunate because I’ve never done anything to warrant that kind of backlash.”

That said, as the January 8, 2025 premiere of Special Forces approaches, Travis Kelce's ex, Kayla Nicole hopes the audience will be entertained.
