Travis Kelce buys teammate Patrick Mahomes "sweet" gift for 29th birthday

Teammates Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have become good friends over the years. So it did not come as a surprise that Kelce pulled out all the stops to buy a gift for the quarterback on his 29th birthday.

Mahomes appeared on Tuesday on 96.5 The Fan’s ‘The Drive’ show and shared what he received from the TE.

“Travis got me a Louis Vuitton golf bag so that is gonna be sweet,” Mahomes said. “I don’t know how much I can use that on the golf course, but it will be nice to have.”

The exact model of the golf bag Kelce gifted is unknown, as several bags ranging from $23,000 to $31,500 are available on the luxury brand’s website.

Mahomes joined the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017, while Kelce has been part of the squad since 2013. The duo have become close golfing buddies over the years.

Patrick Mahomes enjoyed his birthday bash

The Chiefs QB had a major scare earlier in the day. The Chiefs scraped past the Cincinnati Bengals 26-25 thanks to a last-second field goal from Harrison Butker.

His wife, Brittany Mahomes, hosted a party later that day.

“Happy Birthday to one of the greatest humans ever, my husband, best friend and the best daddy ever! We are so grateful you are ours! We Love Youuuuuu," she posted on Instagram.

Almost all of Patrick Mahomes' teammates attended the party. They brought their significant others as well. Taylor Swift was also at the party.

Mahomes and Kelce will return to action on Sunday as they travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons in their Week 3 fixture.
