Travis Kelce was nominated for the NFL's prestigious Walter Payton Man of the Year award earlier this week. The award recognizes philanthropic gestures, and Kelce is one of 32 nominees, with each team selecting a player. During Wednesday's episode of the "New Heights" podcast, Kelce shared his reaction to the nomination and thanked Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt and his family for their contributions in helping Kelce win the recognition:
"It is a huge award. I love getting out here in the Kansas City community. Man, I really do. They show up for each other so much, and they do it with so much pride. And, you know, that's the beauty of having that relationship with the community was. It's always to, you know, try and make a better world for the ones that support you on game day.
"And I just been so lucky that I came here to Kansas City and got the opportunity from the Hunt family. And I realized real early on that they were organization and how they ran this organizations was that they wanted everyone in the community making sure the people in Kansas City felt the support that we feel on Sundays." Swift's tour ran for two years and, according to Daily Mail, brought around $2.2 billion in revenue. During Wednesday's episode of his podcast, Travis Kelce sent a shoutout:
"Shoutout to Tay, and the unbelievable Eras Tour has finally come to an end.
"Over 10 million people in the stands over the course of it, it's pretty crazy. Shoutout to everybody who was part of that show. Obviously it's her music, it's her tour, but that was a full production man, that thing. But was the best tour in the world because of a lot of people. But mostly because of Taylor!"
Talking about the Eras Tour, WNBA star Caitlin Clark revealed Taylor Swift's special gesture towards her following her attendance at her concert last week.
