Kicker Cade York made his debut with the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night on the road against the Dallas Cowboys. York, who is from Dallas, had support right on the sidelines from his girlfriend Zoe Dale.

Dale is a cheerleader for the Cowboys and was on the sidelines cheering for the home team while her boyfriend played for the away team. After York made a 37-yard attempt in the second quarter, ESPN's "Monday Night Football" broadcast spoke about the couple.

Former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman joked that he saw Cade York wink at his girlfriend before he made a successful kick.

"I just think he might have given her a little wink before he went out there for that one. She was second quarter on his sideline," Troy Aikman said during Monday's live broadcast. "She's dying right now, she's dying a thousand deaths."

Dale reportedly told York she would be on the Bengals sideline during the second and fourth quarters. It just so happened that he made the field goal attempt in the second quarter when she was on his side of the field.

Cade York's girlfriend showed her excitement for his field goal

During the NFL offseason, Cade York trained in his hometown of Dallas, Texas. The training facility happened to be the one the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders train in. That was where he met Zoe Dale, and the two have been dating for about seven months now.

After he made his first field goal on Monday night, the ESPN broadcast cut to the sideline where Dale was cheering with her squad. She could be seen thanking God, despite York playing for the other team.

York ended the night two-for-two in field goal attempts and made all three extra-point attempts. That's a good sign for the kicker and his future with the Bengals for the remainder of the season as Evan McPherson's placement on the Injured Reserve ended his season.

York has had a tough journey through the NFL. Up until Week 1 of the 2024 season, he hadn't played in a regular season game since 2022. He was released by the Washington Commanders this season after he missed two field goals in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals on Dec. 4.
