Tua Tagovailoa suffered perhaps the worst night of his career on Thursday. The Miami Dolphins were dealt a blowout loss, which included a Pick 6, and Tagovailoa suffered a concussion. However, his fans are rallying to lift his spirits by donating to his charity.

According to reports, more than 1,000 donations have been placed for the Tua Foundation. Per its website, the Tua Foundation "is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the support of youth initiatives, health and wellness, and other charitable causes."

One example of its recent efforts was on August 30 when it was announced that more than $100,000 and 25 Microsoft Surface tablets were donated to combat wildfires in Maui.

Tua Tagovailoa finished Thursday's contest with one touchdown and three interceptions as the Dolphins lost 31-10. For the season, he has two touchdowns and three interceptions and it remains to be seen whether these will be his final stats for 2024.

Tua Tagovailoa's injury has left the Dolphins with questions about the QB room. At this point, Skylar Thompson is likely assured of starting in Week 3; however, beyond that is anyone's guess. Mike McDaniel said to the media on Friday that his team would be adding a new name.

“We will bring in someone, we’re just evaluating the pros and cons for the different situations,” McDaniel said.

The Dolphins coach didn't name names. However, with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle on the squad, adding a quality QB who can maximize their talents would be paramount.

One name fans and analysts have been talking about is Ryan Tannehill as most agree that he is the best QB on the free-agent market. As a member of the Dolphins from 2012-2018, he already knows the city and the commute. That said, he already has a level of comfort with playing in the city, which gives him an advantage.

Since leaving the Dolphins, Tannehill has been to the AFC Championship as a member of the Titans, which further strengthens his case. Will the Dolphins pull off a QB reunion similar to Cam Newton's return to Carolina? Of course, Dolphins fans would hope such a reunion goes better than it did for the Panthers as Newton went 0-5 in 2021.
