As Madden 25 continues to unveil its positional rankings for the upcoming new video game, the quarterback rankings were released today. As with every position, there were many surprises, some bigger than others.
Reigning MVP and three-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes got the highest ranking and is the only 99 overall quarterback. Perhaps the biggest surprise is Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud being rated an 81 overall and the 14th-best quarterback in the game after his historic rookie season.
Fans all over social media voiced their opinions on where they thought Madden went wrong with the QB ratings.
"Tua is way too high compared to C.J. Stroud," a fan said.

"No way CJ Stroud is an 81," one fan said.
"Complete BS. Mahomes is BARELY a Top 10 QB. Don't like that? Look at his stats. He finished in the Top 5 in ONLY ONE major QB stat last year... INTERCEPTIONS!!" one fan said.
"Purdy, Rodgers, CJ should all be atleast 90. They all better than Dak and Tua. Why is burrow so high even though he played mid but rodgers is so low when he played no games. Purdy should be above Josh Allen as well lowkey," one fan said.
More fans thought Tua Tagovailoa's rating was higher than it should be. Another user pointed out how bad Madden's ratings are and that it used to be better when there were other football video games.
"Madden ratings are overrated. Honestly wish we had other NFL games other than Madden. Like before," one fan wrote.
"This is exacly why CFB 25 is gonna overtake it lol, only 1 good rating on this list and thaty's Mahomes everything else sucks," one fan said.
A fan questioned why Aaron Rodgers' rating was so high after missing last season.
"To have Aaron Rodgers above Stafford and even Goff? Nah fam," one person wrote.
Why C.J. Stroud's Madden rating was the worst of any quarterback
Houston Texans' C.J. Stroud had one of the best rookie seasons ever by a quarterback. Along the way of becoming the Offensive Rookie of the Year and earning a Pro Bowl in his first season, Stroud led the league in passing yards per game and was eighth in total pass yards.
Stroud had a 9-6 record as a starter and threw for 23 touchdowns and five interceptions, posting a passer rating of 100.8.
Yes, he is a second-year quarterback, but an 81 overall for a guy who had over 4,000 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, and led his team to the AFC divisional round as a rookie seems a little too low.
There are guys like Kirk Cousins (84), Aaron Rodgers (83), Jalen Hurts (86), and Justin Herbert (87) that you could argue Stroud deserves to be rated higher than.
