"Turn this s**t around" - Patriots fans make feelings clear on Mike Vrabel as next HC after humiliation vs. Chargers

New England Patriots fans are lobbying for Mike Vrabel as the team's next head coach. They were upset after their team was dominated by the LA Chargers during their playoff-clinching 40-7 win at Gillette Stadium.

Fans took to social media to ask former player Vrabel to take over the team and make the changes they needed to get things back on track and compete with the best teams in the league.

"Fire the whole staff and start the fuck over next year @Patriots. Mike Vrabel and Josh McDaniels turns this s**t around," one fan wrote.

More fans joined this demand, insisting that Vrabel was the right guy for the job.

"Jerod Mayo isn't fit to be the Head Coach of the New England Patriots Should be a one-and-done, completely out of his depth Bring Mike Vrabel home @Patriots," one fan expressed.

"There isn't one. If Mike Vrabel is interested, the Patriots should hire him. No question. No debate about it," another fan wrote.

"Mike Vrabel save the Patriots," another fan wrote.

When somebody asked whether there'd be a downside to bringing Vrabel back to Foxborough, fans emphatically said there was none.

"I’ll explain the downside: Nothing," one fan wrote.

"Literally 0 downside. Bringing back Mayo is running the Eberflues Playbook. Look what happened to the Bears this season. Lame Duck coach is not worth it," another fan said.

After the Chargers defeat, the Patriots dropped to 3-13 for the season. They are on track to post a worse record than last year with Bill Belichick (4-13) and fans have already lost patience for Jerod Mayo.

Is Mike Vrabel a free agent coach?

Vrabel worked five years for the Tennessee Titans, making them a tough playoff team that was relevant during his time in Nashville. He's working as a personnel consultant for the Cleveland Browns, meaning it wouldn't be hard to hire him if the Patriots decide to make a swing.

Out of his five seasons coaching the Titans, Vrabel only posted negative records in two. He led the Titans to an AFC Championship game appearance in 2019 but the Chiefs took them out.

Vrabel was mentioned as one of the potential Bill Belichick replacements in New England. Jerod Mayo has only spent one season with the team, but the odds don't seem to be in his favor at this moment.
