Tyreek Hill opens up on visceral reaction to Dolphins’ playoff loss vs Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs - “I wanted to punch my f—king locker”

For a second-straight season, Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins' season ended in the first round of the playoffs. The Dolphins fell short to the Buffalo Bills in a 34-31 shootout in the 2022 playoffs in Hill's first year with the team.

This past season, the Dolphins' season ended with a wild-card loss to Hill's former team, the Kansas City Chiefs. Hill had his chance at revenge against his former team twice last season.

The Chiefs and Dolphins played in Frankfurt, Germany, last season with the Chiefs coming out on top 21-14. A few months later, the two met again in the wild card round of the playoffs, with the Chiefs winning 26-7. Hill scored the lone touchdown in the game for the Dolphins.

Recently, Hill opened up about the loss to the Chiefs. He was so mad following the loss, he was ready to punch in his locker

Via The Dive Bar Podcast, Hill said:

“I’m passionate about it. I wanna win. I was born a winner. My whole entire life, I’ve been a winner. I hate losin’. When we lost against the Chiefs, bruh, I wanted to f—king go punch my f—king locker 100 times. F—k that s—t, bruh. I was pissed. F—k that. I wanna win.”

Hill will enter his third year with the Dolphins in 2024.

After winning a Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2019-20 season, Tyreek Hill made the choice to join the Miami Dolphins prior to the 2022 season for a bigger payday.

Upon being traded to Miami, Hill signed a massive four-year, $120 million contract extension, making him the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL at the time. Many thought the move was a surprise as Hill and quarterback Patrick Mahomes were one of the best QB-WR duos in the NFL.

While Hill has still remained one of the best wide receviers in the NFL transitioning over to Miami, he and the team haven't reached the level of success that the Chiefs have in the past two seasons.

The Chiefs won back-to-back Super Bowls, earning them their third Super Bowl in a five-year span. Hill, being traded prior to the 2022 season, only won one with the team and very likely could have been a three-time Super Bowl winner had he stayed.

Reality is hard and Tyreek Hill will look to get out of the first round of the playoffs this season with the Dolphins.
