Tyreek Hill’s traffic violation case has abruptly ended. As tweeted by Fox Sports talk show host Andy Slater on X, Miami-Dade police officers, who were involved in his detainment, did not show up for a scheduled court hearing, which led to the dismissal of charges for careless driving and a seatbelt infraction.
The Miami Dolphins wide receiver reposted Slater's update on Tuesday and tweeted:
"Where all the internet cops now?"

Two months ago, on Sept. 8, Hill was pulled over by police for not wearing a seatbelt near Hard Rock Stadium, just hours before the Miami Dolphins’ season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Bodycam footage released by the Miami police in September revealed a heated exchange.
Reportedly, things escalated when Hill rolled up his window, which led to the officers asking him to step out of his vehicle. Next, Hill partially complied before being forcibly removed, put in handcuffs while lying face down on the pavement and made to sit on the curb.
As they were restraining him, Hill repeatedly questioned their aggressive behavior and mentioned that he had undergone knee surgery.
Tyreek Hill's Miami Dolphins teammates had to intervene in the situation
Eventually, Tyreek Hill's fellow teammates, DT Calais Campbell and TE Jonnu Smith arrived on the scene. While attempting to mediate, Campbell was also handcuffed.
Later, an internal investigation was launched by the Miami-Dade Police Department. Police union representatives also came to the defense of the officers on duty, dubbing Hill as “uncooperative” and accused him of driving recklessly.
Talking about being handcuffed, Hill said, via NBC Miami:
“I wasn’t disrespectful because my mom didn’t raise me that way. Didn’t cuss. Didn’t do none of that. Like I said, I’m still trying to figure it out, man. I don’t want to bring race into it, but sometimes it gets kind of iffy when you do. What if I wasn’t Tyreek Hill? Lord knows what that guy or guys would have done."
That said, the incident leading up to the game did not affect Hill. After making it to the Dolphins vs. Jaguars clash, he scored a touchdown in his team's 20-17 win.
