YouTuber Speed has reignited his debate with Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill after claiming that he can beat the footballer in a race. The social media star is known for being fast, as his moniker suggests, and the Miami wideout is known as the Cheetah for his blistering speed.

Going on the ClubShayShay podcast, Speed asked Hill to put his money where his mouth is and commit to a race. Goading the wide receiver by saying that he is scared, the YouTuber asked him to commit to a date and challenged him to a 40-yard dash before needling further by saying that the Dolphins star is risk averse. Speed commented,

"Tyreek Hill is scared to race me. He is scared. Tyreek Hill, you are scared... Put your career on the line, put your contract... put everything on the line, put your life on the line. Race me 40 yards... I give you whatever how many weeks you need. 40 yards. Certain date... He doesn't want to risk that."

Speed goes into details of turning up at Tyreek Hill's Dolphins practice

Speed turned up at a Miami Dolphins practice session ready to race Tyreek Hill, only to be turned down by the wide receiver because of probable contractual obligations. The YouTuber said that he only turned up because the player texted him to come and prove that he is faster and commented that he felt that the 'Cheetah' was genuinely scared because it would have been bad for his brand had he lost to a social media influencer. He told podcast host Shannon Sharpe,

"Tyreek challenged me first and I challenged him back. I think Tyreek was joking at first, but... then it became serious... He told me to pull up to his practice, he text me... He ducked me, he was genuinely scared... And I get it, he is a athlete, that's his life, that's like he makes his money, people see him as 'I am the fastest man in the league'... He didn't want to take the risk of racing me cuz he knew that it would have been bad for him."

When asked about the motivation for this challenge, Speed said that he wants the bragging rights of being faster than the acclaimed fastest NFL player. He concluded,

"If I beat Tyreek Hill, his stock goes down... It just means I am the fastest man alive."

The race will probably not happen anytime soon. The Dolphins are 5-6 after Week 12 of the 2024 NFL season and looking to make a late run for the playoffs. That will be preoccupying the wide receiver's thoughts right now.
