New York Giants rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. was drafted in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL draft and has quickly emerged as one of the best rookie running backs in the league. Tracy is currently the leading rusher on the Giants with 376 yards and two rushing touchdowns. He's played in all eight games for New York this season.
In Week 5, Tracy made his first career NFL start when Devin Singletary was hurt and showed out, rushing for 129 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. He most recently had another big game against the Pittsburgh Steelers last Monday night, rushing for 145 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.

During Monday night's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. suffered an injury with a little over four minutes left when he got tackled and his head slammed into the ground. Later tests revealed Tracy suffered a concussion.
As the Giants are just a few days out from their game against the Washington Commanders, Giants coach Brian Daboll provided some positive news about Tracy's status. ESPN NFL reporter Jordan Raanan tweeted that Daboll said Tracy has progressed from the injury and is trending toward playing on Sunday.
"Rookie RB Tyrone Tracy has progressed in the concussion protocol and is practicing in a red jersey. Will be a limited participant, per Brian Daboll," Raanan tweeted.
He added that Daboll said he is "trending in the right direction."
It would be a blow if Tracy is unable to play for the Giants on Sunday, as he accounts for 376 out of the team's 868 rushing yards and has half of their rushing touchdowns.
New York Giants face division rival, Washington Commanders this Sunday
This Sunday, the New York Giants will host their division rivals, the Washington Commanders. Through eight games, both teams are in opposite positions.
The Giants are 2-6 and in last place in the NFC East, while the Commanders are 6-2 and in first place in the division. Sunday's matchup will be the second time these two teams will face one another this season, as Washington earned a 21-18 victory in Week 2.
To no surprise, Washington comes in as a favorite by 3.5 points. Washington is currently on a two-game winning streak and is coming off its unbelievable Hail Mary victory against the Chicago Bears. The Giants enter Sunday's contest on a three-game losing streak.
