CeeDee Lamb has caught attention over a new cryptic post on his Instagram.

With the 2024 NFL season approaching, all eyes fall on the Dallas Cowboys, Lamb, and Dak Prescott's undecided contract extensions. While Lamb is entering the final year of his rookie contract, Prescott is on the final year of his four-year, $160 million contract.

Owner Jerry Jones and multiple other players have commented on the situations, but the contracts have not yet been finalized.

The wide receiver opted for a superhero photo, choosing Toby McGuire's black Spider-Man suit. Naturally, fans were quick to connect CeeDee Lamb with what the black symbiote suit means.

In the first Spider-Man franchise, Peter Parker was a lighthearted and kind superhero who turned darker and vindictive, donning the black suit, after encountering the Venom virus.

Of course, the wide receiver could also just be "suiting up."

"Villain Arc is starting," one fan wrote.
"It’s about to get ugly with Jerry," a user predicted.

A few fans, however, wondered if this meant Lamb was going to New York. because Spider-Man is from Queens.

"WHAT DOES THIS EVEN MEAN!?! He coming to NY??????" one fan wondered.
"HOLY SHIT HE A GIANT ," an user wrote.
"Bro going to a rival?" another fan said.
"JETTTTTTTT," one fan wrote.

Some, however, wondered if this would be a similar situation to Saquan Barkley and the NY Giants:

"Dude is going to pull a Saquon."

Others were convinced that Lamb is about to get traded.

"If this means CeeDee is getting traded I will lose my whole shit," one fan wrote.

That being said, there is no confirmation from Lamb's end about the Spider-Man post.

CeeDee Lamb isn't happy with the Dallas Cowboys' $33M offer

Set to make $17.991 million in 2024, CeeDee Lamb is looking to extend his time with the Cowboys. Of course, this is his final year in Dallas with his rookie contract.

Making minimal moves during the offseason, the team is attempting to lock in a contract while it appears as though Lamb has been holding out. However, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, he isn't happy with another $33 million deal.

“Now, you've seen the reported numbers that are out there about 33," Garafolo said. "My understanding is it's around 33 and for Lamb, that's still not good enough, the top of the market is 35 with Justin Jefferson, so he wants that to come up.”

Furthermore, Lamb also wants the team to work on the structure. This includes guarantees and cash flow, which changes the front half of the deal entirely.

Lamb has also not participated in any of the team's training sessions during the offseason.

As the new campaign approaches, the ball is in Lamb's court to sign a long-term deal.
