It's election season so it wasn't much of a surprise when a social media account with over 500,000 followers on X (formerly known as Twitter) announced that Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was in attendance on a fundraising call on 'White Dudes for Harris.'
The rumor swiftly went viral overnight, with a large section of NFL fans praising Burrow for supporting Kamala Harris. There was also a picture floating around on social media claiming that Burrow donated $250 to the Harris campaign. However, it appears the rumor might be just that—a rumor.

Awful Announcing reached out to the Cincinnati Bengals to clarify if Burrow was indeed present on the call. The franchise said he wasn't. And that's that.
In any case, it appears the 'White Dudes for Harris' call raised about $3.7 million in funding without Joe Burrow's help.
Joe Burrow's Donald Trump link in the spotlight
Burrow wasn't on the call with Kamala Harris but he has met Harris' opponent, Donald Trump, a few times. Most recently, the NFL's highest-paid quarterback bumped into Trump in March at UFC 299 in Miami. San Francisco 49ers star Nick Bosa was also in attendance with Burrow.
Burrow, Bosa and Trump appeared to have a short discussion at the event, with Bosa hugging the former President of the United States.
The same thing happened a year earlier, too.
At UFC 287 in Miami, Burrow met up with Donald Trump. This time around, he had Odell Beckham Jr. accompanying him. The Bosa brothers and Sam Hubbard were also spotted in attendance at the event.
Unlike his adversary, Aaron Rodgers, who has been pretty vocal about who he's supporting in the 2024 election, Burrow has been mum about his political views.
Burrow, who signed a five-year, $275 million contract in the offseason, will focus on the Lombardi Trophy this season after missing the entire 2023 season due to a damaged ligament in his right wrist in November.
Heading into 2024, the Bengals appear rejuvenated, especially considering they've kept most of the band together.
