The Cincinnati Bengals rolled into Nissan Stadium on Sunday and beat the Tennessee Titans 37-27, which saw the home team drop to 3-11 and climb one more spot on the draft board to sixth. The Titans started the game well and led 14-7 at the end of the first quarter, giving their fans a sliver of hope that they register their fourth win of the season.

However, by midway through the third quarter, that belief and some of the fans in the arena were gone. The Bengals recovered after a poor start and scored 21 unanswered points in about 13 minutes of game time. The Titans' dismal showing in that span prompted criticism from fans and analysts that the team didn't have the mental fortitude to fight back.

During his media availability on Wednesday, Tennessee coach Brian Callahan was asked about his thoughts on the Titans being deemed a soft team. He responded by going on an explosive rant:

"That is complete and total bulls**t if you want my honest opinion. These guys are tough f**kers, man, and they go after it every day. They play hard as hell, and at no point have we put on tape at any point this season that this is a soft football team.

"I can't even wrap my mind around how that would even be a conversation. I mean, just because we don't win games doesn't mean we're soft."

Titans QB change: Mason Rudolph to start in Week 16

While Brian Callahan vehemently disagrees with the notion that his team is soft, he will acknowledge that the production from the quarterback position has been woeful.

The Titans benched quarterback Will Levis during the loss to the Bengals after he tossed three interceptions in three quarters, the last being a pick six.

Veteran Mason Rudolph stepped in and had a markedly better day than his counterpart. He completed 21 of his 26 pass attempts for 209 yards and two touchdowns with an interception.

His efficient outing prompted Callahan to hand him the start against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 16. The Titans have virtually nothing to play for except pride. But judging by their coach's passionate response to his team being called soft, that could be enough for them to end their three-game losing streak.
