Dez Bryant has not played for the Dallas Cowboys since 2017, but he's still involved with the franchise. Since he was made a first-round pick by Jerry Jones in 2010, the wide receiver has been extremely close to the owner and the team as a whole.

The 2024 season has not been kind to the Dallas Cowboys. However, the team pulled off an impressive upset on Sunday, winning 34-26 against the Washington Commanders even with quarterback Dak Prescott injured and out for the season. The Cowboys improved to 4-7, giving a bit of a lifeline to their year.

Dez Bryant was present at the Northwest Stadium to watch the game with some friends, including famous rapper Jay-Z, who owns management company Roc Nation, to which Bryant is signed. After the game, he shot a video trolling the rapper and some of their friends while celebrating the win:

Curiously, Dez's allegiance to Roc Nation was done against the wishes of Jerry Jones, who did not want his wide receiver to sign with Jay-Z's management company in 2014. After that season was over, the wide receiver negotiated a five-year, $70 million contract extension with the franchise, to which he played three years more.

With Cooper Rush as quarterback, Cowboys pull off upset against Washington Commanders in Week 12

The Commanders have been on the fight for the division with the Philadelphia Eagles since the start of the season. Coming off two tough losses, they had a game against the Dallas Cowboys to get things right again and return to the NFC East fight.

Dallas has lost quarterback Dak Prescott for the season with a hamstring injury that's going to demand surgery, and Cooper Rush has been playing for the team. In a game where rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels struggled, Rush threw two touchdowns and no interceptions, and the visitors pulled the upset.

It's still unlikely that Dallas will make the playoffs, as Washington still has two and a half games ahead in the NFC Wild Card fight. But in an extremely tough season, Jerry Jones' team was able to find something to smile in 2024.
