Coming off a dismal season, the Carolina Panthers are experiencing some high tension already in training camp. After running back Chuba Hubbard was hit hard by new defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, a brawl broke out on Tuesday, July 30.
Clowney came in towards the end of the play and delivered a crushing blow to the running back with his shoulder. It was a legal hit by NFL rules, but it wasn't one that the offensive players appreciated in training camp.
Hubbard and others in blue shirts confronted Clowney, and some shoving began. Very few actual punches were thrown though. Several other players joined the fray, but it was a short-lived brawl.
It dissipated almost as quickly as it began with players bringing the heated Clowney and Hubbard aside. Check it out below.

Training camp brawls are nothing new. All NFL teams have fights, especially during the preseason. Tensions are high as every player is trying to make an impact and secure their spot, and a lot of these players are unfamiliar with one another.
Jadeveon Clowney excited for Panthers debut
Jadeveon Clowney has been in the NFL for a long time. Before he arrived, he was a star at South Carolina, not too far from where the Carolina Panthers play. After so many seasons, he has finally "come home" and is as excited as ever.
Via the Panthers' website, Clowney said, after he signed a two-year deal:
"I used to just watch them on TV all the time and say I can't wait till I get my opportunity to do that one day. Years ago, when I hit free agency, I told my agent not to reach out to Carolina because I wanted to mature more. And to get to this point where I know if I have to go back there, I can handle myself, and it won't be a problem for me to do my job because I was still learning how to be a pro."
He finished by saying he's mature enough now at 31 years old to be able to move back home and still thrive.
