The game between the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills was momentarily stopped due to fans throwing snowballs on the field.
After more than a quarter of play with many fans throwing snowballs from the stands, the referees decided that it was enough. They warned the fans of the Bills, the home team, that a 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct would be awarded to the Dolphins if they kept throwing things on the field.
The city of Buffalo has been hit by a snowstorm over the whole Saturday. As it turns out, the weather is a major advantage for the Bills, as they're used to playing in colder temperatures. The Dolphins, on the other side, come from Miami, a much hotter city in Florida.

How bad was the weather in Buffalo?
The concerns regarding the weather for the game between the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills came true as the stadium was found covered with a thick sheet of snow.
The National Weather Service had issued a warning about lake effect snow in the region, potentially up to four to eight inches. Temperatures have been in the 20s during the game. However, one players wasn't too bothered by the snow and bitter cold.
Jaelen Philips was seen practising without his shirt. This must have impressed fans and some of his teammates as they tried to protect themselves form the frigid weather.
However, the inclement weather and the rowdy fans couldn't stop the game from proceeding, albeit with some delays and breaks. At halftime, the Bills were leading 21-13.
