The Dallas Cowboys' Week 4 win came at a price, as Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence are expected to be sidelined for several weeks. Their defense wasn't as dominant as it was in prior years and losing two of their most important pieces will likely take a toll on their production moving forward.
Insider Ian Rapoport reported early on Friday that Parsons was first diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain. Later on, Tom Pelissero added that Lawrence is set to miss multiple weeks after suffering a foot injury against the New York Giants. This means these two will likely be out until after they return from their Week 7 bye.
This is terrible news for Cowboys fans, who started panicking on social media over the absence of Parsons and Lawrence.

"Just brutal. We will be lucky to win 9 games," one fan said.
Dallas Cowboys have had a complex start to the 2024 NFL season
After winning the NFC East division over the Philadelphia Eagles last season, the Dallas Cowboys entered this campaign with renewed hopes. But that appears to be decreasing by the week. They started the season on a high note, dominating the Cleveland Browns as visitors. Then, they lost against the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens in consecutive weeks.
Despite returning to winning ways on Thursday night, the Cowboys are still struggling to find their rhythm. Dan Quinn's exit in the offseason was a major blow for them and the lack of additions hasn't helped their case, either.
Moreover, Cowboys legend DeMarcus Ware criticized Micah Parsons on Thursday, questioning his leadership for criticizing his teammates.
"But when you start pointing a finger at your other teammates, that sort of makes things a little bit different," Ware said on Up and Adams. "When it comes to ... are you the true leader that you know you need to be? To me, true leaders don't point fingers. They just show results, and then everybody follows their lead. So I think it wasn't the right thing to do."
Without Parsons and Lawrence on the field, the rest of the defense will need to step up in a season that was already complex.
