"We may have avoided catastrophe": Packers fans relieved as Jordan Love walks without assistance

Green Bay Packers star Jordan Love made the waves around the NFL when he went down with an apparent knee injury on Friday night. As the Packers tried to complete a game-winning drive, he was caught in the middle of a tackle by Philadelphia Eagles rushers Josh Sweat and Jalen Carter.

He had issues standing up and needed assistance to get off the field, sounding the alarms for Packers fans, who ultimately saw their team succumb to Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and the rest of the Eagles. The positive news is that Love was seen getting off the team plane without any help.

This was a relief for Packers fans, who noted that Love wasn't wearing a brace or anything to keep his knee protected while he went downstairs.

"No brace, walking down the stairs unassisted, carrying his own bag, we may have avoided catastrophe folks," one fan said.

"No brace, no sleeve. Low tops. OK," another fan said.

"Unassisted without a brace or boot. This is a really good sign Checks still to come however - ACL tear has been ruled out," another fan added.

Others wondered when they could see Jordan Love back on the pitch.

"Carrying his own bag, walking down the stairs… see you in 2 weeks J Love," one fan wrote.

The Packers have high expectations for this season. Despite a disappointing loss to the Eagles, they remain a dangerous team in the NFC, but without Love, they won't have the same chances to challenge the top squads for a playoff berth or a trip to the Super Bowl.
