In 2022, Dre Greenlaw signed a two-year contract extension worth $16.4 million with the San Francisco 49ers. He will now become an unrestricted free agent this offseason however, even if the 28-year-old doesn't resign the 49ers will still have a $1.8 million hit to the salary cap with his contract.

The San Francisco 49ers drafted Dre Greenlaw in the fifth-round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Greenlaw's Achilles injury in last year's Super Bowl LVIII set him back and he didn't make his first appearance in 2024 until December. He played just two games as the 49ers were out of playoff contention and decided not to risk further injury.
