The rumors of the Las Vegas Raiders moving on from quarterback Derek Carr were all but confirmed this morning.

NFL Network analyst Ian Rapoport broke the news that the team is evaluating trades for Carr as they begin to look for new quarterbacks themselves for next season.

The team will explore options for trading Carr and intends to before February 15th, as they would owe him $40.4 million.

While it is almost guaranteed that Las Vegas will trade or release Carr, one quarterback they could go all-in on would be Tom Brady.

A Tom Brady-led Raiders offense would be one of the best offenses in the NFL. Of course, this is if they retain running back Josh Jacobs, who is a free agent this off-season.

Jacobs led the league in rushing yards this season and would relieve some pressure off of Brady as teams look to stack the box more, hoping to slow down the run game.

Brady will have premiere targets in All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams, Darren Waller, and Hunter Renfrow.

Brady threw for 25 touchdowns, nine interceptions and 4,694 yards, and also set an all-time record in passing attempts (733) and completions (490) in a single-season.

Brady would certainly get the opportunity to dish the ball off to all the Raiders' weapons, and could have success in doing so while playing with his lifelong offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels, who is the team's head coach.

Derek Carr issued a statement amid rumors of the Raiders moving on from him

Shortly after Rapoport's news of the Raiders looking to move on from Carr, he issued the following statement:

"Raider Nation it breaks my heart I didn't get an opportunity to say goodbye in person. We certainly have been on a roller coaster in our 9 years together. From the bottom of my heart, I am so grateful and appreciative of the years of support you gave to my family and me."

He added:

"That fire burning inside of me to win a championship still rages. A fire no man can extinguish; only God. So I look forward to a new city and a new team who, no matter the circumstance, will get everything I have. Winning a championship is what I've alwavs wanted and what I will continue to work towards..."

Carr and the Raiders will explore the trade market and there should be teams interested in the veteran.

The Washington Commanders, Indianapolis Colts, and Houston Texans are a few teams that could inquire about Carr. All three teams will look to add a new quarterback to their teams next season.

All is uncertain, but one thing that is certain is that Carr won't be with Las Vegas next season.
