Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver Justin Jefferson sounded the alarms after he went down with an apparent injury against the San Francisco 49ers. Jefferson got hurt in the third quarter on Sunday.
A short video shared by Arye Pulli on X showed that Jefferson clashed with Fred Wagner and went down to the ground. He was in visible pain and had to leave the field after that play.
Senior NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that the Vikings listed Jefferson as questionable to return with a quad injury.

Justin Jefferson is arguably the best wide receiver in the entire NFL and his absence will surely have a big impact on the Vikings. Moreover, seeing the numbers he was putting on the stat sheets on Sunday, Minnesota fans have reason to worry.
For starters, he completed a 97-yard touchdown to give his team a 9-0 lead in the second quarter.
Moreover, he caught four passes for 133 yards, averaging 33.3 yards per catch. The second-best player on that stat was Jalen Nailor, with 54 aerial yards. The Vikings managed to hold off the 49ers but Jefferson's absence will be a huge blow for them.
Vikings missed another WR before Justin Jefferson went down
On Friday, it was announced that WR Jordan Addison would miss Sunday's game due to an ankle injury. He was dealing with it all week long and was unable to participate in a practice session before this game.
Just like Jefferson, Addison picked up the injury in the middle of a game after he caught his third and final pass against the Giants last week. He left the game with 35 receiving yards in three receptions. This was painful news for the Vikings as Addison recorded a career-high seven catches against the Niners last season where he recorded 123 yards and two touchdowns at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Knowing that Addison was the second most dangerous weapon for Sam Darnold, the Vikings focused a lot on Justin Jefferson. He was putting on a show until that unfortunate play but the Vikings found a way to survive and took down their opponents.
Justin Jefferson remains a premier pass catcher in the NFL, but if this injury forces him out of action for several games, it would be the second consecutive season he'll be sidelined for an extended time.
