Former NFL journalist Lisa Guerrero, in her new book Warrior: My Path to Being Brave, has opened up about her personal hell while working with ABC for Monday Night Football. Guerrero revealed that she went through a miscarriage while live on MNF.
Guerrero has worked with multiple companies in her career, also taking up a few acting roles. She has openly discussed the miscarriage and said that several factors during her time with ABC contributed to the tragic incident.
She was fired after just one season with ABC.

In a tweet, Guerrero referred to their behavior as 'bullying.'
"I will never know for sure what caused the miscarriage but I believe the abuse & harassment I suffered were contributing factors. Bullying has consequences," she wrote. "There's somebody on the receiving end of toxic behavior. My book, WARRIOR, discusses these topics".
According to Lisa, she faced harsh criticism from men and was constantly ridiculed. She mainly worked with the executive producer at MNF, Freddie Gaudelli, who was also her boss.
While her book might explore more topics, Lisa's experience with ABC and her heartbreaking story has gained attention from around the NFL world.

According to People, Guerrero's career peaked with MNF in 2003. Unfortunately, her dream job turned into a nightmare.
"People who knew what was going on with [my boss] Freddie and who read how I was being treated in the media already looked at me with such pity," Guerrero said. "I was a shell of myself. And I felt such shame and embarrassment that the last thing I was going to say is, 'Oh, and by the way, I just had a miscarriage.' Most of my best friends will learn about it by reading the book."
However, she did not blame anyone for the mishap. According to the former journalist, it was a culmination of everything that transpired, and the miscarriage was an extremely cruel result.
Guerrero even worked as a reporter for a decade before she landed the job as a sideline reporter with MNF. She was also a cheerleader before the career switch.

Before she covered NFL games regularly, Guerrero was in a relationship with MLB pitcher Scott Erickson. Though Guerrero and Erickson decided not to have children, she later started thinking about their baby.
After missing her period, Guerrero confirmed her pregnancy with a home test.
Though there is limited information about their relationship timeline, Guerrero and Erickson launched HomeTeam Productions together and produced the 2007 movie A Plumm Summer.
Erickson was a pitcher for teams like the Baltimore Orioles, Texas Rangers, Minnesota Twins, New York Mets, New York Yankees, and Los Angeles Dodgers. His career spanned over 15 seasons, and he graduated with an AA degree in business.
Though he attended San Jose City College, Erickson also majored in accounting at the University of Arizona. He minored in psychology. Apart from baseball, he also played football and basketball in high school.
