They have 10 days before they take to the field again and Cowboys supporters will be hoping that is enough time for Micah Parsons to recover.

Micah Parsons' injury could affect both player and the Cowboys

If Micah Parsons' injury is serious, it could change the calculus for both the player and the franchise. He has one sack this year and did not have any in this game. But his overall production is not in question as he is often double-teamed, as was the case today.

He is due for a contract extension with the Cowboys in the coming year after Jerry Jones gave Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb new improved deals this offseason. If the linebacker is out for any significant duration, it could affect what he is offered.

At the same time, new defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer's defensive schemes have yet to convince that they can make the Cowboys contenders.
