Stefon Diggs fell to the ground after sustaining a non-contact injury, where he grabbed his knee. He was running a route when he seemingly injured his right knee during a step, but the Indianapolis Colts defender had barely touched him.

However, he was able to stand and walk off to the locker room on his own.

The team announced that he would be questionable about returning against the Colts.

In the seven games that he has played, the wideout has managed to rake in 415 receiving yards and three touchdowns this season.

The Texans managed to win the game 23-20, but HC DeMeco Ryan is still to inform fans what went wrong with Diggs and the severity of his injury. After the game, he merely said that he was still being examined.

Fans were hoping that it would be a small injury since there seemed to be no contact and that he would return to action soon enough. But he missed the entire game, and the diagnosis taking such a long time could mean that not everything is alright with the wideout.

Who could replace Stefon Diggs as Texans hope to build on 6-2 momentum?

Diggs was the Texans’ leading wideout. That was until he had to exit the game with five catches for 81 yards. He had more responsibility to shoulder as his teammate Collins was sidelined with a hamstring injury.

The Texans had brought on board the 4x Pro Bowl player with the hope that he would bolster their offense as the Texans roster does not have much offensive firepower save for Collins, CJ Stroud, Joe Mixon, and Tank Dell.

If the tests reveal that Diggs had suffered a serious injury, it would mean that he would skip games. In that case, Dell would become Stroud’s favorite target. John Metchie III, Robert Woods, and Xavier Hutchinson would also be called upon to shoulder more responsibility.

The Texans will be up against the New York Jets in the upcoming week. The Jets are coming off a humiliating close defeat to the New England Patriots. The New York team might be an easy opponent, but then they have the Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys in the weeks following the Jets.
