Todd Gurley had arthritis in his left knee, so his movement on the football field has been compromised. Gurley played the running back position, which requires a lot of strength, stamina, and mobility. Unfortunately, due to his arthritis and a series of nasty knee injuries, the former Los Angeles Rams superstar has remained out of the NFL for the last three seasons.
Gurley had one of the most impressive five-year spells we have seen from a running back in modern history. He put up great numbers across the board. He was a perennial All-Pro selection and made the Pro Bowl team three times (2015, 2017, and 2018).
At his peak, he was arguably the best player in Los Angeles, but times have changed in the NFL. The league now has an array of all-purpose backs like Derek Henry, Josh Jacobs and Christian McCaffrey. All these players were in college when Gurley became the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2015.

Is Todd Gurley's Professional Football career over?
By all indications, yes, Todd Gurley's professional football career as a player is indeed over, as the former offensive player of the year alluded to the fact.
"I don't think there's any question about this," Todd Gurley said when asked if he was "calling it quits."
The former Los Angeles Rams and Atlanta Falcons back did his best to play the game he loved, only for the chance to be cruelly snatched away. These days, Gurley spends most of his time wit hish family and acting as a co-owner of the FCF Beasts.
Todd Gurley's NFL Career Achievements
Todd Gurley enjoyed an incredible six-year NFL career, which saw him put up gaudy numbers each season.
He came into the league as a first-round pick from the Georgia Bulldogs and was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams. Gurley instantly improved the Rams' stagnant backfield, putting up over 1,000 all-purpose yards during his five-year spell with the Rams.
He also added personal laurels such as NFL Offensive Player of the Year, NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, two first-team All-Pro selections, one second-team All-Pro selection, three Pro Bowl nods and two NFL rushing touchdowns leader awards.
Gurley was the main dual-threat running back of his generation and represented a threat both in the air and on the ground. He ended his NFL career with a career stat line of 6,082 rushing yards and 67 rushing touchdowns. He also added 2,254 receiving yards and 12 receiving touchdowns for good measure.
