Zay Flowers and the Ravens came into this game against the Browns in Week 18 knowing that they needed a win to guarantee that they would win the AFC North. Their entire focus was getting that home advantage in the playoffs but a freak injury now means that they are sweating with the wide receiver's fitness when they get there.
Zay Flowers caught a pass behind the line of scrimmage, picked up a first down, and kept running to get closer to the end zone. He was tripped up and hit by a Browns defender just as he was falling to the ground.
He immediately grabbed his knee and was in immediate discomfort. He got up and walked off gingerly into the locker room, leaving the fans wondering whether he would come back into the game. It was reported in the second quarter that he was questionable to return before being ruled out in the second half. This injury now has the potential to jeopardize Baltimore's postseason plans.

Zay Flowers' injury vs. Browns comes after Ravens WR's Prow Bowl selection
The Ravens have been one of the best-run franchises this century. They have won a couple of Super Bowls and are currently among the favorites to add another championship. However, they have never had a wide receiver selected for the Pro Bowl. As an organization, they have always prided themselves on their defensive strength but they now have a legitimately good offensive weapon.
Zay Flowers has more than 1,000 yards this season and is Lamar Jackson's primary target this year. He has added to the threat in the passing game just as Derrick Henry has done in the offensive backfield. That is why losing him for the playoffs would be devastating.
The wide receiver suffered an ankle injury earlier this season against the Buccaneers but did not miss a game following that. The Ravens will hope that this knee injury is similar and he can return for their first game of the postseason in the Wild Card round.
Head coach John Harbaugh has previously highlighted what he thinks of Zay Flowers after that game.
"[Flowers is] exactly the weapon we absolutely knew was and would be and has been, to be honest with you. He's been there all along, and the opportunities came up today... Those catches had to be made. Those plays had to be made in the pass game, and Zay made them. That was the difference probably in the game." - the Baltimore head coach said.
He will now be hoping that he gets good news from his medical team about his star receiver.
