Rael Enteen, the vice president of content for the Washington Commanders was recorded making unflattering comments about the team's players. A video of Enteen making the comments was released on Wednesday by O'Keefe Media Group through its X account (formerly known as Twitter).
In the video, the Commanders employee was speaking with a woman in what appeared to be a restaurant. He did not appear to be aware that his date was recording him.
Enteen alleged that Commanders players are homophobic by stating, "Over fifty percent of our roster, right, is either white religious and God says f**k the gays," and "another big chunk is very low income African American that comes from a community that is inherently very homophobic."
He even called football fans "high-school-educated alcoholics" and "mouth-breathers" and that it was his job "to sell hope to the fans." Enteen also blasted his own team and said, "there’s not much hope to sell".

When asked about the NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell, he said:
"Oh yeah, he’s a puppet. A $50 million puppet."
Fans immediately took to X to express their indignation at his comments.
"What a piece of garbage"
"Absolutely disgusting, what a terrible human"
Others voiced their outrage at how an employee of an NFL team could use such derogatory terms against his own team, the players and fans of the sport.
"Amazing how some people are totally different in reality. Just do the right things even when no one is watching. It’s disturbing that anyone working for the NFL would think like this," one user remarked.
"Hope Rael enjoyed working in the NFL, briefly," another user said.
"Screw this guy," said a user.
"Oh boy, dude went everywhere with this one. Great reporting," said another user.
Commanders take action against Rael Enteen
Almost immediately after the video was brought to the attention of the Commanders, Enteen was suspended. In response to the shocking video, they issued the following statement:
"The language used in the video runs counter to our values at the Commanders organization. We have suspended the employee pending an internal investigation and will reserve further comment at this time," (H/T The New York Post)
While many fans on social media were calling for his immediate firing, per the statement, the Commanders will perform an internal investigation.
Enteen's LinkedIn page states that he has been working for Washington since 2020 and he previously worked for the New York Jets and the XFL.
