The O.J. Simpson case and trial flooded television networks in 1994 and 1995. The slow chase in his infamous white Ford Bronco down the California freeway is something that people still remember and talk about.
After he was found not guilty in the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson as well as her friend Ronald Goldman, the former NFL running back wrote a book.
Unusually titled 'If I Did It', the book took a hypothetical approach to what would have happened if he had committed the murders. The book caught everyone off guard and had them wondering why Simpson would write such a book after he was found innocent, especially as many believed in his guilt.

Comedian Katt Williams used the book and O.J. Simpson as part of his monologue during his 'It's Pimpin' Pimpin' Tour', which was part of an HBO Special in 2008.
During his monologue, Williams talked about the aforementioned book. He said that the former NFL running back essentially snitched on himself. He said, in some colorful language, that instead of writing the book, he should have just 'shut up'.
"He wrote a book where he hypothetically snitches on himself. He wrote a book called, 'What if I would of done it'. What if you would've shut the f*** up?"
Katt Williams then went on to say that while the former NFL running back didn't go to prison for murder, he ended up going to jail for stealing his own memorabilia. He noted that many people didn't even know that it was a crime.
Simpson was convicted of armed robbery in 2008 and sentenced to 33 years in prison. He was granted parole in July 2017.
How long did O.J. Simpson play in the NFL?
O.J. Simpson was a standout running back at the University of Southern California in 1967 and 1968. He was selected by the Buffalo Bills with the first selection in the AFL-NFL Common Draft in 1969.
After a slow start to his career where he only averaged about 600 rushing yards a season, he finally had a breakout season in 1972 when he rushed for 1,251 yards and a career-high six touchdowns. The following season, he rushed for over 2,000 yards and 12 touchdowns.
After nine seasons with the Buffalo Bills, O.J. Simpson was traded to the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the 49ers for two seasons before retiring from the National Football League.
While he finished his career with an impressive 11,236 rushing yards, which was the second-best in the record books at the time, that record has now dropped to 21st. This shows the transition of running backs and NFL players over the years.
OJ Simpson was selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985. He also acted in movies, notably appearing the famous 'Naked Gun' series. However, to the younger generations, he is known more for the murder trial than his on-field heroics.
