Former Dallas Cowboys fullback Jonathan Evans is trying to do his bit to help people who are going through a tough time. In a world where many are struggling through a whole host of issues, Evans is trying to give people a way to cope.
Currently a chaplain for two professional sporting organizations in the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Mavericks, Evans is seen as the perfect person to talk through the tough times with.
He has released a new book called Fighting Your Battles: Every Christian’s Playbook for Victory in which he details his own personal struggles and lessons that he has learned along the way. But why release a book? Simply put, Evans just wants to help people the same way Christ has.
Evans said via christianpost.com:

"Me and my family, getting out there and being able to use our voices for the Kingdom, is because of all the things that the King has done for us. Any way that we can reciprocate, we're just glad to be anywhere on His game plan. We're not entitled and we work not to be, but to just be a blessing to what He's called us to do."
So while it might seem like a book might not be the answer for some people, for others, it can mean the world. To have someone who has gone through struggles as Evans has (lost several family members throughout his life) and has come out the other side a stronger person.
In a world where there is so much doom and gloom, Jonathan Evans is hoping to be that shining light for those struggling, and with his book, he may just achieve that.
Jonathan Evans a chaplain for the Cowboys and Mavericks
Evans is the chaplain for the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks and is a friendly shoulder to lean on in tough times.
One of which, especially for the Cowboys, was when the Damar Hamlin incident happened after he collapsed on the field during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals last year.
Jonathan Evans is still doing his bit for sporting organizations long after his playing career, which started in 2005 and ended in 2009.
Everyone goes through a tough time at one point or another in their lifetime and Evans is making sure that those people have a way out of the darkness.
