A short story about the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers entered the league in 1933, making them the seventh-oldest team in the league. The Chicago Bears, Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions (Portsmouth Spartans), Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, and Washington Commanders are the only NFL clubs still in existence with lengthier histories. The Steelers entered the league alongside the Eagles in 1933.
The Pennsylvania squad is one of the most prosperous teams in the postmodern era, particularly for their dynasty of the 1970s. The franchise has played in and hosted more conference championship games than any other football team. It is also tied with the New England Patriots for six Super Bowl victories.
