Super Bowl 2023 will take place in Glendale, Arizona, at State Farm Stadium. The big event is slated for Sunday, February 12th, with a 6:30 p.m. ET start time. This year's championship game will feature a showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Which NFL team has the longest win streak? Let's take a look:
The longest Super Bowl winning streak
With five straight victories between 1982 and 1995, the San Francisco 49ers hold the record for the most consecutive Super Bowl victories. They took part in five Super Bowls, winning them throughout 1980s and 1990s.

Until they faced the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XLVIII, the team had never lost a championship game in which they had participated. Today, it seems incredibly impossible for any club to play in more than five championship games and win each of them. It would be unheard of for a team to even reach five championships in a little over 10 years.
However, winning each championship after that seems nearly unattainable. A different club making four straight appearances, like the Buffalo Bills did in the early 1990s, is almost as unusual.
There is simply too much competition for one team to dominate. Even the New England Patriots, who have won six championships since 2001, have lost two championships in between. No team seems to be unbeatable these days, the way the 49ers were.
The longest winning streak in regular season games
With a 3-4 record after seven games, the 2008 Colts did not begin the season as the Peyton Manning squad often does. However, Manning assisted in righting the ship on his way to winning the third MVP award of his career, as the club won nine in a row to close off the regular season.
The Colts were upset by the San Diego Chargers after they won their division, but that momentum didn't last into the playoffs.
The next season, the Colts got off to a fast start. They won 14 straight games to start the 2009 campaign. Ultimately, head coach Jim Caldwell would make the decision to bench his starters in Week 16's third quarter. It ended in a Week 16 loss for the Colts.
The Colts would also lose the season finale, but they showed no signs of rust in the playoffs and advanced to their fourth Super Bowl (two of which they would play in as the Baltimore Colts) before falling to the New Orleans Saints, 31-17.
